How to Make Basic Vegan Overnight Oats

Mastering the perfect creamy, thick basic overnight oats that are dairy-free will make your meal prep so much easier.

Once you have this basic recipe down, you can have fun with flavors and toppings. These overnight oats are vegan, dairy-free and simple to make.

Ingredients

Add oats to a mason jar or container with a lid that holds 12-16 ounces.

Pour in your dairy-free, plant-based milk (soy, almond, oat, coconut, rice...)

Add maple syrup or your chosen sweetener.

Add ground flaxseed or chia seeds, to thicken the oats

Add plant-based yogurt

Stir everything together. Or, put lid on container tightly and shake it up to combine.

Add your favorite toppings. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.

Frozen fruit is especially good on overnight oats! Especially berries and cherries. When they thaw, the juice sweetens and flavors the oats. So good!
